Private accommodations to help you live like a local

For years, we’ve been helping travelers live like locals while on vacation. It’s a great way to immerse yourself in your destination and get a feel for what daily life is like in the land they’ve made their home if only for a few days or a couple of weeks. We’ve worked closely with companies that provide villas and apartments in many locations over the years, but lately we’ve been super impressed with the inventory they’ve added all over the world and right here in the U.S.

The obvious benefit is having your own, private space to retreat to after a busy day of taking in the sights. The extra benefit, though, is feeling right at home in the destination you’ve been dreaming of. We’re talking apartments and penthouses in central London that are like having your own pied-à-terre steps away from the action. We’re also talking manor houses and cottages in romantic English countryside spots like the Cotswolds.

On the domestic front, there are apartments and homes in cities such as New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. With options for monthly rentals, you can take advantage of the ability to work remotely and explore a new place in your off hours. It’s a great option for an extended summer vacation once the kids are out of school.

With ski season upon us, you can book a chalet in hot spots like Park City, Jackson Hole, Sun Valley and the resort areas of Colorado. Looking for something new and a little less traveled? There are private residences you can stay in while hitting the slopes in Oregon, California and Montana, just to name a few. If you prefer the Alps, we have you covered there as well. And if you never want ski season to end, we can arrange private accommodations in the Andes of Argentina and Chile.

If it has a beach, you’d better believe we can arrange a villa or private home there for you, but we can also accommodate couple or families in private lodgings in places you wouldn’t expect: safari destinations such as South Africa, Tanzania and Rwanda; the South Pacific; the Great Smoky Mountains; minutes from Disney World but away from the crowds.

Name the place, and odds are we can find you a villa, apartment or private home to stay in (and probably a private chef if you want restaurant-quality meals in the comfort of your own lodgings). Many of these places are affiliated with hotels and resorts, so you can get all the amenities you love with the added privacy. It truly is the best of both worlds.
